Rosa Carter West, 94, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Countryside Village in Pikeville.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. West was born in Wayne County Dec. 5, 1919, to the late Eli Bud and Emily Pipkin Carter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston West, and her sister, Elsie Mercer.
She is survived by her loving son, Stan West and wife, Debra, of Fremont.
The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
