MARIE L. LAMBERTH

Irene Marie Leonard Lamberth, 80, Goldsboro, passed away Monday at Somerset Court in Goldsboro.
For more than 34 years, Marie was a dedicated employee of Guardian Care Nursing Home.
Marie was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.
She was deeply devoted to her husband, Joseph Winslow Lamberth, and was happiest when she was spending time with him.
With her decline in health, Marie was a constant inspiration, and those who knew her will always remember her joy in living, her laughter, her caring and loving ways and of course, her courage.
She was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church.
A service celebrating Marie's life will be held by the graveside Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, with Dr. Mike Collier officiating.
Mrs. Lamberth will lie in state Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A time of visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
Marie is survived by two brothers, William Leonard and Joe Leonard, and her dear friend, Ann Collie of Goldsboro.
