KUNIE "JACKIE" POWERS

Kunie "Jackie" Powers, age 88, formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at the residence of her son in Burgaw. Born in Toyko, Japan, she was a waitress with Mary's Drive Inn for 30 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Jackie is survived by her longtime companion, James Baker of Mount Olive; a daughter, Christine Starr of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, Steven Kirkman of Burgaw, Robert Kirkman of Charlotte; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
