JOE BEN MULINIX

GOLDSBORO -- Joe Ben Mulinix, 95, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Joe Ben was born in Bartow County, Ga., Feb. 4, 1915, to the late Benjamin Franklin Mulinix and Iva Fields Mulinix. He was married to Frances Louise Russell.
Joe served his country in the United States Army and served during World War II.
Joe was a carpenter with Ernest Alexander Construction.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Joe is survived by his wife, Louise Russell Mulinix of Goldsboro; his daughter, Ellen M. Shipman and John Peacock of Goldsboro; his three granddaughters; his two grandsons; his great-grandson; and his brother, Rufus Eugene Mulinix and wife, Martha, of Kingston, Ga.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joe Ben Mulinix Jr.; his brother, Bill Mulinix; and his sister, Sarah Lou Madden.
The family will receive friends after the service and at other times at 1117 Park Ave. B, Goldsboro.
