PEGGY G. NORWOOD

Peggy Ann Guy Norwood, 74 died Friday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with burial in Wayne Memorial Park. The family received friends on Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the home.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Mary Ethel Howell Guy and the wife of the late Bobby Earl Norwood Sr.

Peggy was a homemaker and enjoyed attending Family of Faith Community Church of Goldsboro.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Earl Norwood Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Kenansville, Randy Jearl Norwood and wife, Annette, of Warsaw, Tony Gregg Norwood and wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro; one daughter Jan Barber and fiancée, Ted Grzybek, of Pikeville; and was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Neal Norwood, and survived by his wife, Dawn Norwood Murray, of Goldsboro; four brothers, Bobby Ray Guy and Cecil W. Guy of Warsaw, Willie M. Guy of Pink Hill and Charles J. Guy of Charleton, Massachusetts; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a special family friend Ricky Earl Barber.
