CLYDE OLLIE WILLOUGHBY
Sept. 19, 1927-May 4, 2011
PRINCETON -- Clyde Ollie Willoughby, 109 Linda St., Princeton, N.C., passed from this life to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ May 4, 2011.
Ollie was born Sept. 19, 1927, to John Ashley "Jack" and Alice Parrish Willoughby.
She was the second oldest of 15 children, and one that our parents called "special" due to health issues as a child that affected her for the rest of her life. Her life was spent with her father until his death in 1965 and her mother until her death in 1994. Her home remained with her brother Avery until his death in 1997.
After his death, she lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Gary "Butch" Holland and their son, Brandon.
Words cannot express our family's gratitude to them for caring for her until her death. Also our special thanks to CAPMR, Howell Services and Small Miracle and their caretakers, Linda Bailey and Sabrina Williams, for the personal care given her over the years.
She is survived by sisters, Irene Overman, Faye Strickland, Brenda Holland and Linda Bailey all of Princeton, N.C., and Adele Snead of Fort Meade, Fla.; brothers, Guy Willoughby of Selma, N.C., and Melvin Willoughby of Princeton, N.C.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Zilphia Montague and Inez Cooper; and brothers, John, Wilbert, Elwood "Woody," Roland and Avery Willoughby.
Visitation will be at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, N.C., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will take place in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Sunday, and burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery in Princeton, N.C.
At other times the family will meet at 109 Linda St., Princeton, N.C.
