DELMA GRADY WIGGS

Delma Grady Wiggs, 84, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011, at Sardis Oaks in Charlotte surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011, at 1 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Adam Seate officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Delma was born in Wayne County on July 26, 1926, to the late Atlas T. and Valeria Britt Grady. She was married to the late Cloutier Wiggs. Delma was a faithful member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where she served as church and Sunday school treasurer, president of the Women's United Methodist Society and as a Sunday school teacher. Delma was also a member of the Methodist Music Group, and her primary goal in life was the happiness and security of her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Delma is survived by her daughters, Deborah Harkey and husband, Harold, of Charlotte and Phyllis Neal and husband, Steve, of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Noah Warren and wife, Virginia, Ashlie Hood, Melanie Porter and husband, Rob, Hilary Neal and Stephanie Neal; and her great-grandchildren, Lauren Porter, Neal Arrington and Ethan Porter.
The family will receive friends today, May 8, 2011, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
