ED BROGDEN JR.

Ed Brogden Jr., 76, died Wednesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Ed Brogden Sr. and Pearl P. Brogden and the husband of Eleanor Grant Brogden.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Turbyfill officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by a son, Thurman E. Brogden of Goldsboro, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail B. Edwards, Dianne B. Brock and husband Mike, and Tricia Hansen and husband Paul, all of Goldsboro. He is also survived by a brother, John Henry Brogden and wife Emma of Goldsboro and a sister, Thelma Daniels of Dudley. Special were his grandchildren, Kelly Edwards, Kendall Edwards, Taylor Brock, Emily Brock, Adam Brogden, Jeremy Brogden and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Ethan.
