Lillian "Lib" Ellis Stewart, 86, of Burlington Manor and formerly of 4098 North N.C. 49, Burlington, died at the Hospice Home on Friday, May 6, 2011, at 12:16 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church on Monday, May 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Hal McElroy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Wayne County, she was the wife of the late Glenard Ray Stewart and the daughter of Herman L. Ellis and Lydia Wadsworth Ellis. She was a former employee of Holt Hosiery and a member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Eskridge and husband, Jim, of Greensboro and Donna Worley of Goldsboro; a son, Arthur Ray Stewart and wife, Vy, of Graham; three grandchildren, Dr. Charles Griffin of Moato, Vt., Brian Stewart and wife, Wendy, of Mebane and Seth Holt of Graham; two great-grandchildren, Katy Stewart and Sarah Stewart, both of Mebane.
The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington today from 5 until 7 p.m.
