CALYPSO -- Peggy Davis Grady, 83, passed away Wednesday evening.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clayton Sutton and the Rev. Cynthia Williams officiating, after which the family will receive friends.
At other times, family and friends will be received at the residence, 567 Albritton Road.
Burial will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mrs. Grady was a lifetime member of Calypso Presbyterian Church, and was a retired garment inspector, having worked with Young Squire Industries and Mount Olive Sportswear.
She was a native of the Sandy Bottom community in Lenoir County.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dan H. Grady of the home; three daughters, Wanda Grady Long and husband, Chuck, of Goldsboro, Sue Grady Sutton and husband, the Rev. Clayton Sutton, of Calypso and Sybil Grady Merkison of Mount Olive, (widow of Jim Merkison); four grandchildren, Michelle Tillman and husband, Neil, Danny Sutton and wife, Jennifer, Ashley Wheeler and wife, Deanna, and Melissa Liechti; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia Sutton, Sadie Grace Sutton, Austin Liechti and Brady Wheeler.
Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staffs of Kitty Askins and Brian Center, and to Dr. Atkins and his staff at Southeastern Medical Oncology Center for their excellent care and support.
