NAOMI ADAMS ALLEN

July 31, 1927-April 30, 2011

PRINCETON -- Naomi Adams Allen went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2011.

Homegoing services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m.

Born July 31, 1927, to the late David and Sallie Williford Adams, she was married to the late Melvin R. Allen. She was preceded in death by a son, David "Buck" Allen; brother, William "Bill" Adams and sister, Daisy Smith.

Naomi was a lifelong member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton where she served as Treasurer for over 50 years, Sunday School Teacher, member of the Ladies Auxiliary and sang in the choir. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three daughters, Faye Baumgartner and husband, Frank, Barbara Willoughby and Karen Hartley and husband, Jesse, all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Tim Baumgartner and wife, Sherry, Jeff Baumgartner and wife, Amy, David Willoughby and wife, Jen, and Jonathan Hartley and wife, Caitlin; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
