Vernia Hill Grant, 93, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her
family.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange, with pastor Bill Rose
officiating.
Vernia was born in Greene County July 13, 1917.
She was married to the late Willie Grant.
Vernia was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her home, her many flowers and garden. One of her pastimes was to draw, paint pictures and cook.
Vernia is survived by her sons, David Grant, Ronnie Grant and wife, Rose, and Gerald Grant and wife, Linda; her daughters, Margie Grant and husband, Wilbert, and Shelby Batzdorfer; grandchildren, Eric Batzdorfer, Dusty Grant, Donnie Grant, Randy Grant, Gail Long, Ricky Grant, Lisa Hardison and Billie Webre; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
