BEULAVILLE -- Verleaner D. Simmons, 79, 449 Joe Hop Williams Road, died Sunday in Montclair, N.J.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Holly Davis and Sudie Matthews Dobson.
Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Lewis Baptist Church in Chinquapin, with the Rev. Richard Batts officiating. Burial will be in Boney Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
