SUSAN LANCASTER HARRISON

FORT MILL, S.C. -- Susan Lancaster Harrison, 91, of 932 Pink Azalea Place, Fort Mill, S.C., died July 9 at her home.

Susan Harrison was born and reared in a Quaker home in Goldsboro. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ into her life and was thus Born Again. When she married Richard Wadsworth, they became members of Falling Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her two children, JoAnn (age 3) and Jerry (at age 33). In 1965, Richard died of cancer at the age of 50. Five years later, after a romantic courtship, she and Henry Milton Harrison Jr. were married. She and Henry were affectionately known as "Aunt Susan" and "Uncle Henry" and were loved by thousands of people across the United States, Canada and other parts of the world.

"Aunt" Susan served in ministry with her husband at the 700 Club at CBN, Virginia Beach, Va., and the PTL Club at Heritage USA, Fort Mill, S.C. She was a member of Central Church of God in Charlotte.

Surviving are her two stepsons, Henton Rymil Harrison of Goldsboro and David Robert Harrison of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Renee Wadsworth Pate, Seven Springs, and Tracy Wadsworth Buchanan, Columbus, Ga.; daughter-in-Law Carol West; grandsons Matthew and Chris Harrison; one great-grandson; four brothers; one sister; and a special niece, Ruth Sasser Davis.

A celebration memorial service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Central Church of God, 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte. Following the service, friends and family are invited for fellowship at the Harrison residence, 932 Pink Azalea Place, Fort Mill, S.C.

In addition, a memorial service, will be held at Falling Creek Baptist Church in Goldsboro on Saturday, July 31, at 2 p.m.

Thanksgiving for her life may be expressed by donations to Hospice and Community Care, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill S.C. 29731.
