DOROTHY F. BARROW
SNOW HILL -- Mrs. Dorothy Fields Barrow, 77, passed away Saturday evening, July 17, 2010, at her residence. A native of Greene County, she was born March 1, 1933, the daughter of Harry Brown Fields and Lossie Heath Fields. Mrs. Barrow was a devoted homemaker, loving wife to her late husband, Wiley Lamont Barrow, and a devoted mother and grandmother. A member of Free Gospel PFWB Church, she was very active in the church and its ministries and her devotion to the Lord was lived daily by her example.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. at Free Gospel PFWB Church with the Rev. Terry Heath and the Rev. Reynolds Smith officiating. Committal Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Barrow is survived by a daughter, Wilma Barrow Casey and husband, Rudy, of Goldsboro; a son, Sammy Barrow and wife, Pam, of Dudley; sisters, Barbara F. Radford of Tarboro and Nell F. Sauls and husband, Ned, of Snow Hill; a brother, Harry Lee Fields and wife, Nannie, Sue of Greenville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Tuesday evening and other times at the Barrow home, 901 Kingold Blvd., Snow Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Free Gospel PFWB Church Family Life Center, 145 Free Gospel Road, Snow Hill, NC 28580.
