KENLY -- Vena Rollins Medlin, 81, died Saturday.

Funeral will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Stephen Walker and Dr. George Jeffries officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery near Princeton.

Born in Johnston County Feb. 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Norma Cox Rollins.

Vena was a member of Parrish Memorial Baptist Church and had been a very active pastor's wife for more than 39 years.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. James Harold Medlin; a brother, Bruce Rollins of Mocksville; and two sisters, Annie Mae Batten of Selma and Carol Atkins of Hillsborough.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rollins, and two sisters, Doris Moser and Jean Moore.

The family will receive friends Tuesday immediately following the funeral service.
