MOUNT OLIVE -- P. Owen Parker Jr., 69, 704 Hillcrest St., died Sunday.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Fellowship with the family will follow the service.
Mr. Parker, a native of Nasemond County, Va., was the son of the late Percy O. and Helen Hayes Parker.
A veteran of the United States Army, he was a retired banking executive with Southern Bank & Trust Co., headquarted in Mount Olive.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Starling Parker of the home; three daughters, Terri Parker-Eakes of Winterville, Jennifer Parker Couture and husband, Gerard, of Kill Devil Hills and Lori Parker of Pikeville; a sister, Nancy P. Richardson of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three grandchildren, Sara Katherine Eakes, John Owen Couture and Alicia Katherine Parker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to any veterans organization of choice or to one's favorite charity.
