Grace Howell Potter, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Homegoing services will be held tonight at 7 at Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with visitation immediately afterwards. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Potter was born in Greene County on Jan. 20, 1925, to the late Miles Johnnie and Pattie Barrow Howell.

She was a very active member of Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Potter sang in the choir, taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the ladies auxiliary. She also was a volunteer at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Chris Potter and wife, Dana, of Goldsboro; three sisters, Lila Wells of Goldsboro, Carol Clark of Snow Hill and Brooks H. Williams of La Grange; and two grandchildren, Myles and Sydney Potter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Potter was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Potter.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions in memory of Grace may be directed to Fort Run Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Rev. Larry Turlington, 243 Shine Road, Snow Hill, NC, 25850.
