Wayne Spencer Hunter, 62, 2801 Langston Drive, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday at noon at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 4460 US 13 north, Goldsboro, with pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery off Central Heights Road in Goldsboro. Masonic rites will be held at this time by the J. W. Hood Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Gladys Annetta Harper Hunter of the home; two sons, Bryant S. Hunter of Fayetteville and Wayne V. (Crystal) Hill of Goldsboro; one daughter, Bridget Renee Hunter of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; one brother, Clarence (Linda) Hunter of Greenville; one sister, Phyllis (George) Green of Goldsboro; his mother-in-law, Gladys Harper of Goldsboro; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; two aunts; and a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The body may be viewed at Hamilton Funeral Chapel 423 S. James St. in Goldsboro Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
