Carolina Maria Russo, 25, passed away suddenly Sunday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Carolina was born in Queens County, N.Y., on Oct. 14, 1983, to Pasquale Russo of Goldsboro and Alta Patrice Russo of Kinston.
She graduated with a degree in psychology from East Carolina University and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.
Carolina was a customer assistant with AT&T.
In addition to her parents, Carolina is survived by her other mother, Fran Basch-Russo; her brothers, Anthony Russo, Pat Russo and Frank Russo all of Goldsboro; her sister, Grace Russo of Goldsboro; and her grandparents, Regina Russo of Rockaway Point, N.Y., Betty Elmore of Kinston and Esther Basch of Phoenix, Ariz.
Pallbearers for the service will be Anthony Russo, Pasquale Russo, Frank Russo, Alton Joyner Jr., Alton Joyner III, Joseph Webber and Steve Bozzo.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
