FORT MILL, S.C. -- Willliam Ashley "Wil" Barsh, 51, died Tuesday in Charlotte, ending a long illness.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, with the Rev. Charlie Godby officiating. Interment will be in Crown Memorial Park in Pineville following the service.
Wil was a generous and loving man, who will be missed by many.
He was born March 13, 1958, in Goldsboro to Earnest and Bess Barsh.
He was a 1976 graduate of Faith Christian Academy. He worked as the finance manager for Samson's Used Cars for the past 25 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laura; two daughters, Brandie McCullen of Goldsboro and Lauren Barsh of the home; one granddaughter, Courteney McCullen of Goldsboro; two sisters, Emily Barsh and Mamie Barsh both of Goldsboro; and a nephew, Stuart Harris of LaGrange.
