Barbara Ann Owen Hayes, 81, died Wednesday at Oaks of Carolina Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Montlawn Memorial Park.
She was born in Danville, Va., Dec. 26, 1927, to Stanford and Mamie Owen.
Barbara worked for Southern Bell for 37 years.
Surviving are her sons, Owen Mike Meadows of Raleigh and R. Steven Meadows and wife, Kay, of Fremont; granddaughter, Kerry Germanoski and husband, Chris, of Clayton; great-grandson, Ryan Germanoski of Clayton; sister, Betty Jacobs and husband, Bill, of Chapel Hill; and niece, Lori Edwards and her son, Hunter, of Chapel Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eureka United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 3240, Eureka, NC, 27830.
Arrangements are by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh.
