WILSON -- Four Charles B. Aycock players each logged a multiple-hit outing during an 11-1, season-opening triumph over Big East 3-A member Hunt on Tuesday evening.
Landon Casey (RBI), Bryce Anders (RBI), Kyle Davis and Chandler Gentry (three RBI) provided two hits apiece. Casey doubled and tripled in a Golden Falcon offensive attack that registered 12 total hits.
Davis emerged the winning pitcher with a five-inning, seven-hit stint. The senior right-hander fanned two Warriors and didn't yield a walk. Jacob Sanford tossed one inning of three-strikeout relief. Trey Jordan polished off the Warriors with an inning of one-strikeout relief.
Aycock plated its 11 runs in the final four innings and capitalized on five Hunt errors.
"(It's) always good to start the season with a win, especially on the road against Hunt, which always has a good program," CBA head coach Charles Davis said. "We had some timely hitting up and down the lineup. (Our) pitching kept them in check."
The Golden Falcons (1-0 overall) entertain Rosewood on Thursday.
