Barnes scores 5 goals in WCDS girls' soccer opener

FAYETTEVILLE -- Langley Barnes punched in a career-high five goals as Wayne Country Day launched its 2016 campaign with a 7-0 conquest of Northwood Temple on Thursday afternon.
Hannah Neal assisted on Barnes' first goal. Barnes' fifth goal came off an assist from Gianna Democko. Ally Willman provided an unassisted goal.
Allison Bailey scored on an assist from Barnes.
"It was a nice way to open the season," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "The girls moved the ball well and supported each other the whole game."
