FRANCES SUTTON RADFORD

Aug. 28, 1937-March 6, 2017

Frances Sutton Radford, 79, Goldsboro, left this world to be with Jesus Monday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center while surrounded by her family.

Frances was born in Wayne County Aug. 28, 1937, to the late Bernice and Catherine Williams Sutton.

She was married for 58 years to the late James Malcolm "Mac" Radford, who preceded her in death May 2, 2015.

Frances had worked with Moffatt Oil Co. and Daniels Furniture.

She had lived a life of dedication to her family and friends and to her community.

For many years, she delivered Meals on Wheels.

Frances was a longtime member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was devoted to her church, taught Sunday school, served as church pianist and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.

Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church, followed by a service celebrating Frances' life at 7 p.m. Interment will be Friday, March 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Frances is survived by her sons, Randy Radford and wife, Wendy, Nelson Radford and wife, Faith, Doug Radford and wife, Pam, and Mark Radford and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Melissa Braswell and husband, Mitch, Hope Hester and husband, Ben, Will Radford and wife, Christina, Andrew Radford and wife, Allison, Nicole Radford, Joshua Radford, Leslie Radford, Lauren Radford and Alex Zunno; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.

She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Sasser and husband, Rex, and brothers, Paul Sutton and wife, Cathy, and Dale Sutton and wife, Sandi.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Sutton.
