Bernice Matthews George, 76, 103 Daleview Drive, died Thursday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Onancock, Va., to George Brooks Mapp and Ruth Virginia Matthews.
She is survived by her husband, Charles George.
Funeral will be Thursday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mark Church of Christ youth department, 700 W. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C.
