James Kelly Hucks, 109 Westwood Drive, Goldsboro, went to be with his Lord Thursday, April 7, 2016.

Services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, U.S. 70 West in Goldsboro, with military honors.

There will be time of sharing with the family following the service at his residence.

Surviving him are a daughter, Kathy Ann Bowman (Ken) of Everett, Pa., a son, James Kevin Hucks (Erin) of Royse City, Texas; two sisters, Maude and Carrie; a brother, Paul; grandchildren, Steven Daniel Hucks, Joshua Kelly Hucks and Kylie Janee Hucks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Marie Bizzell Hucks; parents; a daughter, Patricia Jean Hucks; and three siblings.

Kelly retired from the United States Air Force as a security policeman with the rank of technical sergeant, and subsequently retired as a manager of Kinney Shoes in Goldsboro.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Service of Goldsboro, and condolences to the family may be made through www.evergreenmemorialservice.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that a donation be made in his name to either Veterans of Foreign War, ASPCA or a local animal shelter.
