GLEN B. SPARKS
July 23, 1938-April 9, 2016
Retired (Air Force) Master Sergeant Glen B. Sparks, 77, passed away Saturday evening, April 9, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial with full military honors will follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mr. Sparks was born July 23, 1938, to the late Hugh Samuel and Lela Mae Burleson Sparks. He was retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of the DAV.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn S. Sparks; son, Don Sparks and wife, Pam of Spring Hope; daughter, Joy Sparks Rau and husband, Phil of Cary; six grandchildren, Glenn Strickland and wife, Kristan, Chad Sparks and wife, Megan, Travis Sparks and wife, Ashley, D.J. Sparks, Sam Rau and Molly Rau, and four great-grandchildren, Haylee, Lainey, Harper and Ivy and one great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, S.J. Sparks.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home Crematory in Goldsboro.
