JO ANN COLLIER BRYAN

Jo Ann Collier Bryan died Friday, April 8, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, N.C.
She was born in Wayne County Nov. 16, 1931, to Lloyd Jackson Collier and Clara Lee Stith.
Jo Ann attended Pikeville High School, where she was valedictorian of her class. She went on to graduate from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, now the University of Greensboro, in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Shortly after her college graduation, Jo Ann married Raymond Arthur Bryan Jr. of Goldsboro, N.C., May 21, 1955.
They were members of the First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
Jo Ann is survived by her three children, sons, Raymond Arthur Bryan III (wife, Kymbra) of Wilmington and Stephen Collier Bryan (wife, Kaye) of Goldsboro and daughter, Ann Bryan Huffman (husband, Steve) of Raleigh; and five grandchildren, Sasha White (husband, Doug), Hannah Littlewood (husband, Grey), Stella Gardner, Perri Bryan and Madison Bryan.
Mrs. Bryan is also survived by a sister, Carol Collier Caudill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Arthur Bryan Jr. and grandson, Raymond Arthur Bryan IV.
Services for Mrs. Bryan will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation for caregivers Gloristeen Isler, Shiletha Smith and Barbara Sturn, as well as the caring staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
