JUDY LYNN JACKSON

Aug. 30, 1966-Aug. 8, 2015

Judy Lynn Jackson, 48, Buford, Ga., passed away Aug. 8, 2015, after a long-fought battle with breast cancer.

Lynn was born in Goldsboro, N.C., Aug. 30, 1966.

After moving to Georgia, she graduated from Norcross High School.

As many peers were sending their children off to college, Lynn, at the age of 43, took on the challenge of returning to school and proudly earned her Associate degree in medical business administration from Gwinnett Tech.

Lynn enjoyed spending her days with family, hours reading and her greatest joy, building memories with all five of her nieces. Always a child at heart, Lynn enjoyed crafts, and spent many hours with crayons in hand.

Lynn leaves behind her mother, Judy Whitley; her sisters, Cindy Jackson-Baker and husband, Mark, Kristin Jackson Pritz and husband, Dave, Jhoni Jackson and Lacey Chandler; her brother, Robert Jackson and wife, Katie; her nieces, Abby Baker, Hannah Baker, Kaitlyn Jackson, Jocelyn Baker and Hailey Jackson; and many friends and family.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Robert Jackson Sr.; Earl Whitley, stepfather; maternal grandparents, Edward and Jesse Parnell; and paternal grandparents Robert and Margaret Jackson

Flowers are welcome or, as a long-lasting tribute to Lynn's memory, a memorial donation in Lynn's name may be given to Mary's Place by the Sea, an organization near to Lynn's heart that supports women fighting breast cancer, www.marysplacebythesea.org.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at Grace Baptist Church, 1715 Royall Ave. in Goldsboro. Pastor Eugene Worley of Believers Baptist Church will officiate the service.

Visitation with the family will be held following the services in the fellowship hall.
