Mr. C. Nathaniel "Nate" James, 83, 1302 Hamilton Drive, Goldsboro, passed Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.
The celebration of his life will be held Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at noon at New St. John AME Church, 1307 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C., with pastor James N. Sheares officiating. He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro, N.C.
There will be a public viewing from 4 to 8 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Cumberland County, N.C., to Manuel James and Selma Dunn James.
He is survived by his sister, Alice J. (Floyd) Daniels, and a nephew, Emmanuel "Bootsie" (Josie) James.
