RUTH D. HINSON

Ruth Daughtry Hinson, 83, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Ruth was born in Duplin County Dec. 10, 1931, to the late James H. Daughtry and Appie Grant Daughtry.
She retired from General Electric with more than 25 years of service.
Ruth enjoyed being a part of the Family Y family and supporting the ministry of Shiloh Farm.
She loved the Lord, and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.
She attended Bethel Church in Goldsboro.
Ruth will be missed, but greatly remembered.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 17, 2015, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 5 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Kem Lancaster officiating.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter Andrew "Toby" Hinson; daughters, Cathy H. Lane and husband, Ray, of Goldsboro and Phyllis H. Taylor and husband, Ken, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Michael Lane and wife, Kasey, Jessica Keener and Laurin Buffkin and husband, Dallas; and great-grandchildren, Allie and Karlie.
She was anticipating the birth of her newest great-granddaughter in July, baby girl Payton Summer.
Ruth is also survived by her sister, Theresa Reese and husband, Neal, of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Daughtry and Elbert Daughtry, and her sister, Olive Mae Brock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the ministry of Shiloh Farm Ministry Inc., 439 Community Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
