Mary Lois Westbrook Williams, 89, died Tuesday night at Genesis Health Care in Mount Olive.

Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ransom H. and Clara Westbrook, and wife of the late Robert Alexander Williams.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Norman H. Westbrook; two sisters, Eunice W. Jernigan and Geraldine W. Davis; two grandsons, Tee Williams and Kent Hood; and a great-grandson, Matthew Hood.

Lois was a member of Jordan's Chapel Church, the WMU and the church choir, and was a Sunday school teacher.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jordan's Chapel Church, with the Rev. Ray Smeltzer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family members will greet friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Doris W. Hood and husband, Ted, of Grantham; three sons, Bobby R. Williams and wife, Janet, of Wilson, Terry A. Williams and Edward Williams and wife, Brenda, all of Grantham; a sister, Agnes Rogers and husband, Roy, of Dudley; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Westbrook of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
