Jackie Carol Ginn Smith, 67, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Jackie was born in Wayne County June 18, 1946, to the late Jasper and Aileen Sullivan Ginn.
She worked as a civil service employee at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, and retired from the Wayne County Department of Social Services.
Jackie was a member of Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Reynolds Smith and the Rev. Dr. Don Sauls officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Jackie is survived by her husband, the Rev. Harmon Smith; son, Paul Jonathan Smith and wife, Jessica, of Charlotte; daughter, Sherry Smith Reese and husband, Eddie, of Charlotte; sisters, Lena Ginn of Pikeville and Sandra Parks and husband, Bill, of Goldsboro; brother, Shelton Ginn and wife, Amy, of Pikeville; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.
