GERTRUDE H. PARTIN

Gertrude Hood Partin, 93, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Garnie E. "Bill" Hood and Gertrude Grantham Hood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Partin; her daughter, Gail Kessler; twin brother, Billy Hood; and sisters, Jessie Littleton and Dessie Kornegay.
She was a longtime member of Goldsboro's First Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school class and church family.
A service to celebrate the life of Gertrude will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
Mrs. Partin is survived by her son, Gary Partin and wife, Nancy, of Goldsboro; her daughter, Isabelle Weeks and husband, Buddy, of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Brantley Partin, Meghann Adams and husband, Andy, Elizabeth Hott and husband, Justin, and Todd Weeks and wife, Missy; six great-grandchildren, Grayson, Charlie and Will Adams, Mary McCullen and Libby Hott and Ava Weeks; and sister, Maggie Hood of Grantham.
