FAISON -- Mrs. Billie Hollingsworth Lee, 91, 6530 Faison Hwy., died at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro Monday, Nov. 11, 2013.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.

Born in 1922 in
Jones County, Texas, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Etha Sharpe Hargrove.

She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Joe Hollingsworth and Wesley Lee.

She was a retired nurse and a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Swinson and husband, Clayton, of Mount Olive, Patsy E. Hollingsworth of Kinston and Gayle H. Joyner and special friend, Bill Neil, of Faison; a son, Joe Thomas Hollingsworth of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Mae Troublefield and Jane Bradshaw both of Faison; two stepdaughters, Ruby Ann Engles of Faison and Jaunita Jewell Cauthen and husband, Leonard, of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday night following the service at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of her daughter Gayle Joyner in Faison.
