PIKEVILLE -- Clifton Kevin Carter, 41, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Kevin was born in Wayne County Jan. 25, 1972, to Clifton L. Carter and Sharon West Carter of Goldsboro.
A service celebrating Kevin's life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at United In Christ Church, with the Rev. Stacey Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the church.
In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his wife, Jody B. Carter; brother, Scott Carter and fianceé, Hana Monroe, of Goldsboro; grandmother, Betty West of Goldsboro; uncles and aunt, Bayron West and Peggy and Durwood Kennedy; mother-in-law, Joyce Borkowski of Goldsboro; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Bill Thomas and Steven Borkowski and fianceé, Caitie Munro; a special niece, Madeline Thomas; and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is also survived by his little puppy, Alli.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard West; grandmother, Carrie Wagoner; and father-in-law, Bob Borkowski.
