MOUNT OLIVE -- Miss Katharine Anne Dozier, 79, passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She will be remembered in a private graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, to be held at a later date.
Born in Dade County, Fla., most of her early life was lived in the Nashville area. Settling in Columbia, S.C., she was a school teacher, and from that career she retired.
The daughter of the late Will Green Dozier and Leah Murray Dozier, Miss Dozier is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Blount, of the home in Mount Olive; a niece, Wimberly Raynor and husband, Mark, of LaGrange; three nephews, Christopher Blount of Mount Olive, Bobby Liles of Rocky Mount, and Will Raynor of LaGrange; and a cousin, Allilian Barr of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one's choice.
