NORA H. ANDERSON

LAGRANGE -- Nora Anne Hill Anderson, 95, LaGrange, peacefully passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013.
Nora was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Wayne County to the late Jacob Freeze Hill II and Cindy Arilla Newsome Hill.
Nora was a longtime member of Beston United Methodist Church, where she attended faithfully as long as she was physically able.
She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, cooking and crocheting in her earlier years.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sherman Guthrie officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
Nora was a much beloved wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Prentice Anderson; daughter, Rachel Anderson Tingen; and a son-in-law, James Tingen.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by two children, J.P. Anderson Jr. and wife, Gloria, of LaGrange and Danny Anderson and wife, Esther, of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Jimmy Tingen and wife, Ashley, Penny Lewis and husband, Jim, Amy Faulkner and Scott Anderson and wife, Nichole; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Virginia Hill Benton; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Nora was also preceded in death by a brother, Simon B. Hill.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service of remembrance, and at other times will be at the home.

Meyer, Goldsboro Pain Medicine, Carolina Nephrology, Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation, Kitty Askins Hospice Center and their staffs for their outstanding care and support.
