MOUNT OLIVE -- Virginia Brinson Williams Roberts, 83, 188 Baker's Chapel Church Road, passed away Wednesday evening, April 4, at Quinn Hospice Care Center at Kenansville.

Virginia, lovingly called "Vee" by many, was preceded in death by her first husband, J. T. Williams Jr., and her parents, George and Mary Steele Jones Brinson.

She will be best remembered as being music director, organist and longtime secretary at First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.

She is survived by her husband, James Robert Roberts of the home; a son, Tim Williams of Mount Olive; a stepdaughter, Rene' Roberts of Las Vegas, Neb.; a brother, Lacy Brinson of Creedmoor; a granddaughter, Shelly W. Bordeaux and husband, Landin; and their daughter, Chandler Bordeaux.

The family wishes to acknowledge her caregivers, Christy Crawford, Shirley Overton and the late Eunice Guy, for their unending devotion, love and support, and also the nurses and staff of Quinn Hospice Center for their expert care and compassion.

A graveside service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9. Dr. Ray Kennedy will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial gifts be made to Quinn Hospice Center, c/o Carolina East Home Care, PO Box 887, Kenansville, N.C., 28349.

Tyndall Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
