KATHRYN ANN NEWTON DENISE KEEN

Kathryn Ann Newton Denise Keen, 77, passed away Tuesday evening at Select Specialty Hospital in Durham.
Kathryn was born in Lenoir County April 7, 1934, to the late James Raymond Newton and Carrie Williams Newton.
She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Flowers officiating. Interment will be Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Westview Cemetery in Kinston, with the Rev. John Hill officiating.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Eugene Keen, and her children, Kathryn Ann Denise of Gaithersburg, Md., Dr. Richard P. Denise and wife, Wendy, of Bowie, Md., Jody Keen and wife, Michele, of Bethel, Randall Keen and wife, Melinda, of Raleigh and Karen Keen-DeMello and husband, Paul, of Goldsboro.
She is also survived by her sister, Sula Newton Ridings and husband, Jerry, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Marci Monolda and husband, Jeremy, Dr. Jason Denise, Shaina Clemons and husband, Jason, Justin DeMello, Ian Dillard, Caleb Keen, Tyler Keen, Samantha Kasior and Avery Keen; and four great-grandchildren, Aliza Monolda, Tyler Monolda, Gavin Richard Monolda and Zachary DeMello.
Kathryn is survived by her loving companion, "Scooter" Keen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Denise.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 604 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service.
