Ms. Mary V. Bryant, 86, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Mary," 903 E. Elm St., Goldsboro, graciously departed her life Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the Brian Health and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.

Mary was born in Wayne County Jan. 25, 1925, to the late Mary Carrie Bell Pridgen Bryant and Oscar Bryant.

She was educated in the Wayne County Public School System.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Carrie Bell Bryant; her father, Oscar Bryant; and a daughter, Phyllis Bryant.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Old Mill Cemetery, 2919 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, with pastor Gregory Jones officiating.

A public viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at McIntyre Funeral Home and Florist, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Mary leaves to cherish her loving and precious memory her sister, Dorothy Jones of the home; three nephews, pastor Gregory Jones and wife, Brenda, Willie Norris and Tyrone Jones; and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

At other times, the family will receive friends at Mrs. Dorothy Jones' residence, 903 E. Elm St., Goldsboro, where the family and friends will assemble an hour prior to the funeral in preparation for the funeral procession.
