Ms. Doretha Lewis was born July 27, 1938, to Herman Watson and Luberta Herring in Wayne County. She departed this life Jan. 10, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter, Dorothy Lewis, and a host of other relatives and friends, who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, from 3 to 6 p.m. at E. M. Matthews Funeral Home, 401 N. William St., Goldsboro.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson St., Goldsboro.
Ms. Lewis' delicate temple, along with her adored family, will be escorted to Wayne Memorial Park South for interment rites Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at 9 a.m.
Ms. Lewis' earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Lewis and connected families are receiving prestigious service.
