DELORIS JEAN HANSEN CHAPPELL

MOUNT OLIVE -- Deloris Jean Hansen Chappell, 79, Mount Olive, died Monday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Ida Grove, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Johanes and Adelia Marie Carstens Johannsen.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Eldon Verdean Hansen, Parnell Hyland Goggins and Carey Chappell.
Deloris was a retired bank teller with Seymour Johnson Federal Credit Union, and was a member of Winton Baptist Church in Winton.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with her son, the Rev. Craig Hansen, officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Deloris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Craig Dean Hansen and wife, Katherine, of Mount Olive, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Sue Littlejohn and husband, Fred, of Fayetteville, three stepsons, Russell Chappell and wife, Kathe, Chuck Chappell and Terry Chappell and wife, Vicky; a stepdaughter, Michelle Chappell; a sister, Marcella Shultz of Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
