LAGRANGE -- Betty Aileen Hartley Womble Hollamon, 80, LaGrange, passed away Tuesday at her residence.

Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Lettie Turnage Hartley.

She retired from O'Berry Center, and was a member of Black Jack Grover Original Free Will Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Pete Radford and the Rev. Cliff Harwood officiating. Entombment will in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Family members will greet friends Friday in the mausoleum chapel following the service.

She is survived by her husband, Max Holloman; two sons, Kenneth Womble and Johnny Womble both of Goldsboro; three daughters, Patricia Ann Upton of Ellenboro, Kathy Rose Hughes of Vienna, Va., and Gerri Lyn Mailo of LaGrange; two stepsons, Henry Harmon of Greensboro and Mark Hollamon of Cary; a brother, Adell Hartley of Goldsboro; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
