Clarence Winn Jr., 74, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Clarence Winn Sr. and Cora Bennett Winn.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the City of New York, and was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Dudley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Dudley. Burial will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Winn is survived by his wife, Ingrid V. Winn; two sons, Clarence Mims and Sean Burden; two daughters, Yvette Downing and Gaynor Julian; two stepchildren, Denise Dublin and Peter Dublin; two brothers, Martel Winn and Crosby Winn; two sisters, Karimah Nasser and Lupaze Winn; and nine grandchildren.

Family members will greet friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and online condolences may be directed to www.shumate-faulk.com.
