Died Sept. 11, 2010

Mother Jessie Mae McNeil, 76, 400 Alabama Ave., passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday evening at 4200 Park Ave. in Ayden.

A jubilant homegoing service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, with Dr. H. E. McNair officiating. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.

She was preceded in the silent chamber of death by daughter, Jewel McNeil, and granddaughter, Kenisha McNeil.

She leaves precious memories to her children, Dinah Wyche (Clarence) of Ayden, Carolyn McQueen of Las Vegas, Nev., Jeannie McNeil, Gilbert McNeil (Patricia), Patricia Armstrong of Goldsboro, Linda Robinson of Alaska and James Wooten (Linda) of Warner Robbins, Ga.; grandchildren, Jemelle Wooten, Shamond Stewart, Tasha McNeil, Antonio Wooten, Renita Wooten, Jonathan Heath, Clarissa Wyche, Jessica McNeil Blaylock, Carolina McNeil, Simmon Blaylock, Gilbert McNeil III, Britany McNeil, Thomas Kornegay and Knowledge McNeil; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Friday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.

An inspirational wake will be held Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
