Ruby Evans Bridgers, 86, of 4298 U.S. 70 West, Princeton, died Saturday morning.
She was born in Johnston County July 30, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Charlie V. and Rosa Creech Evans. Mrs. Bridgers was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Bridgers, and brothers, Carl Evans, Milford Earl Evans and D.L.Evans.
The funeral service will be 5 p.m. today at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. David Pate and Rev. Marcus Riggs officiating. Committal service will held 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph F. Bridgers; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Bridgers and wife, Janet, of Princeton; grandchildren, Jody Bridgers of Goldsboro, Jill Bridgers Eubanks of Princeton; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. today and immediately following the funeral service.
