HILDA BUTTS MURPHY

GOLDSBORO -- Hilda Butts Murphy, 81, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, June 7, 2010, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Hilda was born in Wayne County May 26, 1929, to the late Joseph Carl Butts and Nellie Singleton Butts. She was married to the late Allen Murphy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She was retired from E.I. Dupont, and was a faithful member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Hilda is survived by her son and caregiver, Steve Murphy of Goldsboro, and her beloved dog, Cody.
Her son is especially grateful to Vickie Hinson and Dot Eason, her dedicated and loving caregivers, who were a constant source of friendship, caring and companionship during her period of declining health.
