EMERALD ISLE -- Louise Nelson Casey, 83, 420 Channel Drive, passed away Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston, with the Rev. Freddie Braswell officiating. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Casey was born in Bridgeton.
She is survived by grandchildren, Allison and Jonathan Casey; sisters, Marie Peterson and Helen Sorrow; brothers, William, Ellis, Robert and Jimmy Nelson; stepdaughters, Sara Casey and Lois Buday; stepsons, Bobby and Mike Casey; 14 nieces and nephews; and 26 grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by husbands, Jerry Pate and Robert Casey; son, Dr. Dennis Casey; grandson, Jared Casey; brothers, Edward and Gordon Nelson; and sister, Laura Smith.
The family would like to acknowledge ECIM, Pollocksville doctors, nurses and staff for the loving care during Louise's extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston prior to the funeral.

Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston is in charge of arrangements.
